It has three national symbols: the beaver, the maple leaf, and the Great Bear. The beaver is the national animal, the maple leaf is the national symbol, and the great bear is the national animal.

The beaver is the national animal of Canada and it is a symbol of Canada which is reflected in its appearance on the Canadian flag, the Canadian coat of arms, and the Canadian five-cent piece. The beaver is also a common symbol in Canadian culture.

However, the beaver has never been officially adopted as an animal symbol of Canada. In the animal's defense, the beaver was never hunted to the extent of the Canadian Coat of Arms symbol.
