  The country's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, is given for exceptional service to the nation. The award was established by the Constitution of India, and the recipient is announced every year on India's Republic Day, in a list prepared by the Prime Minister. It is conferred by the President of India. The Bharat Ratna (literally, the jewel of India) is the highest civilian award of the Republic of India. Instituted in 1954, the award is bestowed for "distinguished service of the highest order" without distinction of race, occupation, position, or sex.  The award was originally restricted to achievements in the arts, literature, and science, but the government expanded the criteria to include "any field of human endeavor". Awardees receive a "Sanad" (certificate) signed by the President and a medallion without any monetary grant.

  Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language, and has the second-largest number of native speakers in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. It is one of the official languages of India, and is an official language of the Indian government. It is also one of the 22 languages officially recognized by the Republic of India. In the 2011 census, there were approximately 500 million speakers of Hindi. English is the primary language spoken in India, but it’s not the official language of India. In fact, India has no official national language. That’s because India is a very diverse country, with dozens of different languages and dialects. The Constitution of India names Hindi as the “official language,” but it actually doesn’t have any official language—in fact, it doesn’t even mention official languages.

Surprisingly, there is no official national aquatic animal of India. The choice of the national aquatic animal of India is largely dependent on the choice of the ruling government. Until 2000, India had no official national aquatic animal.  However, in 2000, the government of India declared the Ganges river dolphin as the national aquatic animal of India. There has been some controversy about this choice, from experts and non-experts alike. However, the Ganges river dolphin is the most familiar aquatic mammal for most people, and is therefore the best choice. In 2010, a new government was elected, and a new animal was chosen as the national aquatic animal of India. The choice was made by the then Prime Minister, who selected the Gangetic River Dolphin.

  The Indian National Anthem was officially adopted by the Indian government in 1950. Although the song was originally composed in Bengali, it is now also sung in Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada, Nepali, and many other regional languages of India.  The music is considered to be a gift from one of India's greatest musicians, Rabindranath Tagore, who wrote the song in 1911. The national anthem of India is a song with words by Rabindranath Tagore and music composed by Nobel Laureate, Carnatic musician, and composer Dr. Bhimsen Joshi. The song was first sung at the Calcutta session of the Indian National Congress in 1911.  The song was first published in the book "Jana Gana Mana" in the same year. It was also sung at the second session of the Indian National Congress in Kolkata in 1919.

  The national flower of the Republic of India is the lotus (also known as the Indian Lotus or the water lily). The religious, mythological, historical, social and cultural significance of the Lotus in India are detailed below.  In Hindu mythology, the Lotus is considered a sacred flower and has many symbolic meanings. The lotus symbolizes Brahma, the god of creation, Vishnu, the god of preservation, and Shiva, the god of destruction. It is also considered the embodiment of purity, fertility, rebirth and auspiciousness.

 Ambedkar Republic Day (26th January in 1590). Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a well known personality in the field of social justice, had a deep knowledge and strong belief in the significance of the Republic Day. On 26th January, he delivered a speech in the Constituent Assembly on the topic 'The Significance of the Republic Day'.  Ambedkar, while addressing the Constituent Assembly, highlighted the importance of the Republic Day. He said that it is the duty of every citizen to celebrate the Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Within the country, there is a great diversity of landscape, from forests to the Canadian Shield.  It has three national symbols: the beaver, the maple leaf, and the Great Bear. The beaver is the national animal, the maple leaf is the national symbol, and the great bear is the national animal. The beaver is the national animal of Canada and it is a symbol of Canada which is reflected in its appearance on the Canadian flag, the Canadian coat of arms, and the Canadian five-cent piece. The beaver is also a common symbol in Canadian culture. However, the beaver has never been officially adopted as an animal symbol of Canada. In the animal's defense, the beaver was never hunted to the extent of the Canadian Coat of Arms symbol.

  Scotland is a country in the United Kingdom that is part of the island of Great Britain. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. The national flag of Scotland is called 'The St Andrew's Cross', which is a white X on a blue background.  The national animal of Scotland is the unicorn. It is also known by the names of Scottish unicorn and unicorn.   China, officially known as the People's Republic of China (PRC), is the third-largest country in the world in terms of population, behind only India and the United States.  China has a population of over 1.35 billion people, which is about 20 percent of the total world population of just over 6 billion people. What is the National Animal of China? According to Wikipedia, the National Animal of China is the giant panda. This, however, is not entirely accurate. While the giant panda is China's symbol, it is not the National Animal.  The national animal of China is the dragon. Although the dragon is a mythical creature, it fits the bill for a national animal, which is not necessarily an animal that exists in the real world, but one which represents a nation.

  Pakistan's national animal is the Markhor , a large type of wild goat that is native to the western Himalayas. With horns that can grow to be about a foot long, Markhors are elegant climbers that live in steep, rugged terrain.  The name "Markhor" comes from the Persian words mar and xwar, meaning "snake eater" (an allusion to the snake-like appearance of the Markhor's twisted horns).

  The Japanese Macaque, otherwise known as the Snow Monkey, is the national animal of Japan. This species can be found in the mountainous regions of Honshu and is the most northerly living nonhuman primate.  It is also the most northerly living nonhuman primate. It is also called the "raccoon dog" in English because of its brown coloring and ringed tail, and in China, it is known as the "Japanese badger dog."

  The official animal of Bangladesh is the Royal Bengal Tiger (or subspecies Panthera tigris Tigris). The Bengal Tiger is the national animal of about five countries of the world, the others being India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Pakistan.  The Bengal Tiger is the largest of all the tiger subspecies. It has greyish to reddish-brown fur with white to pale yellow stripes. One can find Bengal Tigers in the Indian states of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and southern China.  The country has adopted the Bengal Tiger as its National Animal since 1959. The Bangladesh Tiger Conservation Society has been working to protect the Bengal Tiger and its habitat.

The tiger is a powerful animal that is also known as the king of animals.   The tiger is the national animal of India because India is known as the land of tigers.  Aside from that, the tiger is also known to be one of the strongest animals in the world.   The tiger is also the national animal of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea.  Tigers are also known to be one of the most endangered animals in the world.
